Monitoring the system memory usage of processes and zones can be confusing since the numbers may not seem to add up. This page attempts to explain how the various numbers are calculated and why they normally don't agree.
SmartDataCenter uses the SmartOS Fair Share Scheduler to allocate CPU resources to the machines provisioned on a compute node.
None of the services that run in the global zone of SmartDataCenter head nodes or compute nodes rely on the Domain Name System. For that reason, DNS is disabled on the global zone of both kinds of nodes.
You can create a cloud that contains more than one datacenter.
